All warfare is deception. Even in high school.

It’s been three years, twenty-five weeks, and five days since Isis Blake fell in love, and if she has it her way, it’ll stretch into infinity. Since then, she’s punched Jack Hunter—
her nemesis-turned-maybe-something-more—in the face, survived a brutal attack by her mom’s abusive ex thanks to Jack’s heroics, and then promptly forgotten all about him.

The one bright spot for Isis is Sophia, the ephemeral girl who shares Isis’s hospital stay as well as a murky past with Jack. But as Isis’s memories return, she finds it harder and
harder to resist what she felt for Jack, and Jack finds it impossible to stay away from the only girl who’s ever melted the ice around his heart.

As the dark secrets surrounding Sophia emerge, Isis realizes Jack isn’t who she thought he was. He’s dangerous. But when Isis starts receiving terrifying emails from an
anonymous source, that danger might be the only thing protecting her from something far more threatening.

Her past.

My Thoughts:

After the massively massive cliffhanger at the end of the first book, Love Me Never, my body was ready for Forget Me Always. I did decide to read this one instead of taking the audio route, simply because there was just no way I could torture myself like that again. And while I really liked this installment in the series, it fell flat for me and not as… I don’t know how to explain it. But it wasn’t as good as it’s predecessor.

Where I felt things (all the drama) came naturally for the first book, felt forced in this installment. It was like, “what else can I do to top THIS off.” And while yes, this may work for some story lines, it didn’t, at least for me, here. But it’s just SO addicting. As I said before, it’s my kind of book crack. The plot line is so far out there, it does take a bit for me to really take is seriously, especially given the age of the characters, but Lordy, I love it anyway! I still detest most of the characters, save for Isis, and I need want gotta have more.

Besides that, it’s hard to go into any more detail about the story simply because of spoilers, for both the first book and this one. Isis is still hilarious, nosy as hell and loud. She seems more vulnerable than before, though. Maybe because we see her struggle with the amnesia? Not sure. I do like how Isis and Sophie get to “know” each other and become friends. What a twisted sort of fate that is. I’m still up in the air about Jack – he’s such a dick but I love how he owns it. I’m weird, I know.

Naturally, Forget Me Always ended on HUGE cliffhanger, much to my dismay, and I legit through my kindle across the room (no worries, all is well. It’s safe.) I still recommend starting this series, though, especially if you love fast paced, drama filled books with characters you love to hate.

I have absolutely no idea where Sara could possibly take this characters, next, but I’m ready. Bring it on.

Ooh how have I not heard of this series? I’m not always for dramatic books, but sometimes the mood strikes me. But ugh cliffhangers. They are the worst!

I have this book sitting in my TBR stack, but I don’t have the first book. And we all know that books must be read in order, so I have no choice but to get the first book. 🙂

Glad you liked it! I’m looking forward to reading this series.
