Back in December, I wrote about my goals for 2016 – and listed a few things I wanted to do to get to where I want to be. I thought it would be fun to do a check in and share with you the progress I have made. Or in some cases, no progress at all!
Be Me
I am making continuous progress. I think. I mean – I don’t feel like I am holding myself back per se, but I haven’t done all the things I wanted to do to share more of MYSELF.
Verdict – Making Progress.
Set and stick to my (realistic) goals
I only wrote down a few goals for 2016
- Read more genres out of my comfort zone
- Read 175 Books
- Write more personal posts
- Branch out on the blog with new things
- Read less ARCs
- Hit 3,000 Bloglovin followers by August 2016
Verdict – Making Progress.
Redesign my blog and rock the hell out of it
Yeah, Did this! BAM!
Verdict – COMPLETE!
Inspire and help others
This is hard to gauge. Do I want to say I have? Yes. But without straight out asking I have no idea. As for the “advice or growth” series, I have not started it.
Verdict – We’re getting there. I think.
Make some money
Can I just put everything on repeat and say WORK IN PROGRESS? I mean, I make money each month from referrals and affiliates BUT that wasn’t really what I had in mind when creating this goal.
My Etsy shop isn’t doing as well as I would like. However, I was inspired and have so many new things coming soon. *Crosses fingers* In addition to that, with branching out more I may be able to make some money on sponsored blog posts. We shall see!
Verdict – Um.. in the early stages
Interact more
Yeah – this has been hard. Even last weekend while at the festival, I didn’t approach many people, (Baha any) and was shy when talking to authors. This is the hardest one for me, for sure.
Social media wise, I am doing ok? Nothing to write home about.
Verdict – I need help
Learn more coding
HA. Ha. HA Nope. Haven’t even started to look into classes or tutorials. WHERE DO I FIND THE TIME FOR ALL THE THINGS?
Verdict – Not even close

It still sounds like good progress to me 🙂 What kind of coding are you wanting to learn? I’m just learning Ruby and have found a couple good resources online! One is the Poignant Guide to Ruby and the other is Learn Ruby the Hard Way…
Have a lovely day! You can reach your goals 🙂

Thanks!
Mainly for minor changes to my blog. There are always small things I want to change but every time I look into it, it’s a coding thing. I did see that Ashley @ Nosegraze how a tutorial for how to create a plugin, which sounds fun! Thanks for the links!

Not so bad even the ones that are works in progress. That’s still movement and it’s going in the right direction. Keep persevering and stay open to inspirations and I’m sure the brilliant idea will hit you soon. Also being yourself is inspiring. Everybody wants to be someone else when being oneself is better because there’s only one “YOU” 😉

Yes exactly! I feel good that I am slowly working towards them.
Is it? I hope it is! I want to stay true to myself and if that inspires others, then all the better 😀

Hey, I think you’re doing pretty good here. After all, you can’t complete everything all at once, right? I think even just the fact that you’re checking in with yourself means you’re headed toward success!

RIGHT! And it’s only March! I have time! *says that while sitting here nervously*
