They exist in two different centuries, but their love defies time

Cassandra craves drama and adventure, so the last thing she wants is to spend her summer marooned with her mother and stepfather in a snooty Massachusetts shore town. But when a dreamy stranger shows up on their private beach claiming it's his own—and that the year is 1925—she is swept into a mystery a hundred years in the making.

As she searches for answers in the present, Cassandra discovers a truth that puts their growing love—and Lawrence's life—into jeopardy. Desperate to save him, Cassandra must find a way to change history…or risk losing Lawrence forever.

My Take:

There are many types of books that no matter who wrote them, or the subject matter at hand that has Time Travel, I am all over it. While Until We Meet Again doesn’t completely fall into the “time travel” genre per se, it promises a romance that defies time and trust me, I was all over that.

I suppose you could say one of these characters is time traveling, but really it’s a beach that both are able to meet on, in their own time. So for Cassandra, it’s 2015 on the beach. For Lawrence, it’s 1925. Told in dual POVs from their own time, we get a romance, a mystery, and an ending that will leave you breathless.

Is your interest piqued yet?

I loved that we got the story from both POVs. I didn’t realize that the mystery would be such a large part of the story and I loved it. It really makes you think about the whole butterfly effect. Is it their initial meeting that caused (insert spoiler). Was it her research in her time into the tragic events that caused it? And, can she stop it? If she does, how does that affect things in her time? It was such a mind-boggling process of events.

I adored both Cassandra and Lawrence’s characters. Lawrence was more the “lover type” to Cassandra’s more logical, reckless side. Cassandra was hard to like at first, because she came off as bratty and spoiled but that made her character growth all the more sweeter. She had a lot of back and forth on whether or not what she was doing (the research and seeing Lawrence in general) was right, based on a few things that happened after their meeting, which in turn, was frustrating. Lawrence was just so sweet, kind and one with big dreams. I really felt for the guy, especially as the events unfold surrounding the mystery.

To be honest, I felt their romance progressed rather quickly and there were some fluffy parts that didn’t feel right to the tone, but I just loved them together so I was able to overlook that. The ending had my heart hurting but I had a smile on my face. It was so bittersweet and I could not have asked for a better ending.

Overall I really liked Until We Meet Again. It truly was a romance that defies time and leaves the reader (me) thinking long and hard after finishing. I highly recommend this one!
